Lumir News

  • Performance Evaluation and Tracking System (PETS) ATD transition:  Lumir personnel recently successfully installed PETS at the Air Combat Simulator F-22 simulation facility in Georgia.  Additional transitions are planned.
  • Lumir recently won a USAF Phase I SBIR for “Visualization in a Collaborative C2ISR Environment (VICCE).”

In Phase I, Lumir designed an innovative system, the Visualization in a Collaborative C2ISR Environment (VICCE), to provide a collaborative workspace for Air Operations Center (AOC) divisions engaged in mission-critical strategy, planning, execution, and assessment. Central to the design of VICCE are innovative geospatial and temporal displays to provide ready access to the information needed for individual and team situation awareness (SA) and decision making. The displays, customized to support the operator’s tasks and designed to leverage human information processing capabilities, will allow for rapid communication of goals, objectives, plans, operations and effects across the AOC enterprise in a common environment. VICCE will leverage information and functions from existing AOC systems, providing centralized access to information in an interactive, display-based environment. The displays, customized to support operator’s tasks, will allow for rapid communication of goals, objectives, plans, operations, and effects across the AOC enterprise in a centralized environment. VICCE will increase overall SA among AOC teams, improve process timeliness, compress air tasking order (ATO) cycles, and increase oversight of decision-making outcomes by AOC decision stakeholders. Strategy, planning, execution and assessment processes will become more fluid and closer to real time, thereby being more responsive to guidance and battlespace dynamics.

  • GSA:  Lumir’s GSA (General Services Application) is currently under review and is expected to be awarded at any time.
